Devices are the center of gravity

Projects, tickets, audits, and lifecycle events all connect back to a device. Get the device record right and everything else lines up.

Device statuses

• Active — installed and functioning.
• Degraded — installed but operating below spec.
• Offline — installed but not reachable.
• Pending Install — assigned but not yet installed.
• Retired — decommissioned; record kept for audit history.

What devices carry

Model, serial, MAC, IP, firmware, warranty start/end, install date, location, and a full lifecycle event log.
